Hari Raya Day 1 (Celebration Day)

Today was the first day of Hari Raya celebrations, which is the first day celebrating the fasting season is over. It's the biggest holiday of the year, and this year, it falls a day before their Independence Day, so it being celebrating big time here. This morning we were doing some things around the house, planning to leave around noon, and we heard neighbor boys calling "Mr. Matt... Mr. Matt..." Looked outside, and they were waiting. I told them the other day they could come by, not thinking they were serious, but they did... We had them in, playing Wii for a bit, gave them their packets of money (tradition to give to kids at this time) and they were quite happy. Here are photos:






After that, we drove to KL and went to two different houses. One was our old language teacher's house and the other was friends from our old town. Here are photos of that:
