As my job winds down (2 months left), so do my official responsibilities. I find myself spending more time chatting with teachers than teaching with them.
Yesterday I was talking to a teacher about her family. She said they are starting to have family meetings, by request of her kids. She mentioned how her oldest went first and didn't have any beefs, but when her second child had lots to complain about, the first suddenly had more to say (though her mom said it wasn't her turn) this sounds normal, right? Well what is different is the second daughter insisted to be the MC of the meeting, and that both mom and dad give welcome speeches. Gotta love Malaysia. Country of formality and hierarchy. Hehe.
