I've been doing demonstration lessons this week. I've done phonics to pronounce my name, read a story about my family, and then showed where the US is on a map.
They did well saying m a t to pronounce my name. They loved seeing pictures of my family (especially Addison). They had major trouble deciding where on the map the US is (and where Malaysia is).
It has been a successful week. But what tops it off is one of the students told his mom, who is a teacher, that Mr. Matt was white from top to bottom (meaning I'm actually a real white person). Kinda funny...
