Chicken feet? No problem!
Every Thursday evening there is a very nice night market in our town. We can get lots of cooked food as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. We went last week and got a little bit of everything, seeing how the flavors differed from those in our old town. We also decided to try something new. It was barbequed and sold next to the chicken satay, which is boneless chicken in a peanut sauce. The new one looked like boneless chicken as well, but in a sweeter, red sauce, but still barbequed. We ordered it and took it back home. At home, we tried it, and it was terrible. It was chewy and crunchy, and was just not appetising. The next day, I described it at work to some other teachers, and after a few questions they knew what it was – chicken butt. Yes, that’s right… I will eat chicken feet any day over that!
