More Monkey Fun

Yesterday we took a trip to monkey and firefly land. Matt took this trip with Angela’s parents, but this time we both did the trip with our friends. The guy works with us at our school, and we enjoy hanging out with him and his wife. We went to see the monkeys, then got seafood at a popular restaurant, and then saw the fireflies. Despite a little rain late in the day, the fireflies were amazing as always. There seemed to be more than normal – hundreds of thousands, blinking simultaneously. It really is a unique and beautiful experience.

The monkeys were calm and numerous when we first arrived, but after about 5 minutes chaos broke out. About 40 school kids aged 8-10 showed up. Normally, monkeys are vicious mean animals. Thus, the kids were scared and screaming – the entire time. It was humorous for some of us (Matt) and only added to some of our fear of monkeys (Angela).

***We’ll add more picture later – our friends took pictures, but we haven’t gotten to get copies yet…
