So we're progressing with our language learning. Today, with not so much help, I wrote a 100+ word story. There were mistakes, but it wasn't too bad. Angela too is progressing with her story - getting better at initiating conversations. We both definitely have our strengths and weaknesses. We aren't sure what to do, though. Our "time" runs out in about 2 weeks, so we will have to decide if we want to continue studying or not with our current teacher (we have paid for 100 hours and we're at around 86). It's expensive, and sometimes we feel like we don't really learn much. Sometimes we do, but other times we feel like all he does is go through a workbook with us. Not sure what we're going to do yet.
Sometimes with other languages you have words that translate rather oddly. Well, in Malay, there is no word for dessert (you know, what you eat after dinner?). They have two words (pencuci mulut) which means literally wash your mouth. Not bad... I'll wash my mouth every day!
