So after a relaxing and mostly stress free week in Thailand we headed to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam. After a relatively good flight, immigration in Vietnam took a long hour of waiting. We were starving, so we got some French fries and then got a taxi. I chose to use a tour counter rather than a meter, to try to avoid stress. We got in the taxi and realized very quick the female driver was about as hyper as anyone on the planet, and she only knew about 10 phrases, which she said again and again. Any time on the hour plus ride that shiukd have been 30 minutes without traffic. Any time Titus fussed, she said 'chocolate'. Any time Lincoln fussed she said 'milk'. And when the traffic was bad, which was the entire time, she acted flabbergasted and said 'ohmaga'. Funny at first, and then irritating after than 10th time. As if Friday night wouldn't have traffic!
We got to the hotel and it took convincing to get dropped off in front of the hotel, not behind where the restaurants were.
It was a stressful time. Tha kfully we ate, brushed teeth and the kids went to bed right away. We now know that Malaysia is definately normal, and even Thailand has become a relaxing holiday place. Vietnam is still new I guess.
