We took another trail on our last full day. Addison was into it, and Titus was excited to 'hike' too (daddy held him while on the muddy trail, we didn't even bring the baby carrier.pack). About 3/4 through the hike Addison reached her limit on mud, and freaked out when she realized leeches like puddles. When we came to a part of the trail that was flooded with several inches of water for 50+ feet, we all decided to turn around... At leaat we tried!
The next day we had breakfast and took the bus back to Phuket, about 3 hours plus stops. The ride back cost half of the ride to the jungle in a private van, and since the bus went slower, we.felt less nauseous.
The jungle experience wasn't as expected. It rained 90% of the time, day and night. This was great because it was not as hot and it kept away some mosquitoes, but we didn't get to do much except play games, eat and sleep. Nice to try, but we'll probably wait till the kids are older until we do something like.this again.
