In Malaysia, teacher's Day is a big deal. Schools spend the whole day having assemblies, parties and student-teacher competitions.
Two students gave me (slightly tacky) presents. At least both were from the two ringgit (50 cents) shop, so I know they didn't spend much.
I quickly took a picture with some of them and printed it so they could see my appreciation.
Another student wrote a nice card - my favorite present from students (free, but they put effort into it). This girl was 10 years old.
