My first attempt of hanging my bike was with shelf brackets, which I had on hand. It worked with a don't touch disclaimer. That doesn't work with a 4 year old.
I bent a 1/4" threaded rod on my second attempt and wrapped it with old t-shirts. It is a lot more stable.
I was able to bike 3 1/2 miles today in the other direction. I think my goal is about a 20 mile loop. Today was through palm tree plantations, getting barked at but many dogs. I look forward to getting my pepper spray soon, just in case they aren't so friendly.
