Today was the student's first day back to see me after their holiday. Just like kids anywhere, some parents took their kids on extravagant vacations, while others didn't leave the house. My job was to make all of them feel like their vacation was the best. I stayed enthusiastic and hope they all felt good saying where they went.
We also practiced verb tenses in my 7/8/9 year old class. It went well (fishing).
