Our newer dryer died yesterday. The good thing about having two identical (well, supposedly) dryers is I can swap parts. Turns out the motor capacitor is bad. Funny thing is they are the exact same model number but the capacitors are different styles (same ratings). Locally I don't think I can get the part, so I'll have to make some calls tomorrow to replace it.
I did manage to pull out a ringgit and a half of coins and a mound of lint from inside the dryers.
The older dryer fan bushings are shot, so it sounds terrible, but it works. Those will be a bit harder to replace.
