Last night was amazing. Addison allowed us to watch a full tv show AND sleep for 8/9 hours (interrupted, of course). She is a good sleeper. We wake her/she wakes every 3 hrs at night to change her diaper and feed. She is wonderful. When we change her diaper, as long as she has a blanket on her chest to play with, she is content and doesn't make a sound. After changing her and wrapping her, she is the most content person I know - even before she feeds. She patiently waits and just makes her feeding face on and off until she can feed (feeding face = wide opened eyes looking intently at you + fish like lips in a circle). We couldn't ask for her to behave better. She is feeding well also - sometimes eating for almost an hour, but always eating for 15+ minutes. Usually she'll eat for 15 min, then rest/burp for 5-10 min, and then start again. She does this 2-4 times and then falls into a solid sleep.
What a special girl she is.
They say the baby takes on the personality of the mother (and father). Throughout the pregnancy, during delivery, and afterwards we have been calm, relaxed, and patient. Addison definitely sees these qualities and follows.
