Random Pictures with Our New Camera

So I'm not sure if we put this up here before or not, but about 6 months ago I jumped into water with our camera in my pocket. Needless to say, the camera can't swim, and it was finally laid to rest. It was very old, but still was hanging on with tape, singing, etc... We have wanted to replace it, but never got around to it. Most of the pictures we have taken are from Angela's phone, which has no flash (but does quite well, we think).

After realizing that we should get rid of some old things, we decided to sell two of our three video cameras. It took about a month, but we sold them and made about half of what we needed to get a camera. We bought a used Nikon D60, which is a digital SLR. We have both wanted to get a DSLR for a long time, but never had the need. So, rather than get another small digital camera, we decided to go for a nicer one. We got a great deal on it, and have already taken a lot of random pictures.

After buying the camera yesterday, we went to "Merdeka Square" which is an open field next to the old government offices. We had brought a Frisbee, so we played for a little while, then we took some pictures of the surrounding buildings. We have also taken some random photos of other things, so here they all are for you to see... plus a picture of Matt eating chicken curry for breakfast while waiting for the guy with the camera to arrive!
