So we packed up the car and headed south an hour and a half last weekend to go to our old neighbor's place. He is the one who moved back to his hometown to open a restaurant. He is actually living in the back of it to save some money now, which is very tight as the space is about a 1 foot by 8 foot space for their family of four. They will be a family of 5 next month as his wife is 8 months pregnant. They hope to move to a nearby house and rent it out. The restaurant is still doing ok. "Boleh tahan" they say, which basically means "we get by".
The weekend was great. Angela really connected with some ladies, and her language is definitely improving! We had a good weekend, despite having to eat fried rice in the morning (very hard on our western stomachs). Here are some pictures.
