Before we came back, Angela and I looked a lot at cars. One thing we wanted was something reliable - preferably a new car. Before when we travelled, we always worried that our car might not make it there/home. We probably didn't travel as much because of this, so we wanted that to change. We also thought that if we're going to buy a new car, it should last 5+ years - i.e. have features that would suit. We wanted something that was flexible, stylish, and able to fit stuff. We ended up buying a Perodua Alza. It's locally made, seats 7 (although the 2 back seats are small), has all the safety features, and has a lot of nice features like sliding middle seats and steering wheel audio controls. The car is a brand new model, so they are still in production. We have to wait for about 2 months for it to be ready - hopefully sooner! (until then the motorbike will get a lot of miles) Here is a picture:
