Life has been good lately. We are still waiting for our car – we’ve waited about 3 weeks so far and it might be another 3-4 weeks. We called the agent and encouraged her to see if she could speed up the process, but we’ll see. We have only gotten slightly rained on once going to work and once coming home. One time coming back from shopping we get completely drenched, but I guess that’s life for now. We hope to get the car soon as the bike is slow and not so convenient for buying lots of groceries… but we’re thankful to HAVE a way to get around. We took a taxi the other day and it felt so uncomfortable as many taxis just charge flat fares (illegal) and charge a lot of money. Coming back from shopping the other day, the taxi wanted 25 and laughed at us when we wanted the ride for 10 or 15. We walked to the main street and waved down a taxi and he used the meter. The ride cost 11.90 so I guess we’re not crazy after all!
We also got our house set up with wireless, so that means we can both use our computers at the same time – wahoo!
A friend of ours said it was really cool how we were taking the initiative to get together with people since we've been back... I guess friendships are just important to us :).
