Moved In! Pictures to Show for It!

We have moved in, gotten our furniture, and somewhat finished painting. We still have some decorating to do (we want to get different lights for the living room and we need curtains), but we consider our home our home now. We really like how our furniture looks. The black wall doesn’t make the room feel small – it actually looks really nice.

We have an open house last Friday to welcome neighbors into our home. We spent on night going to a few neighbor’s houses (most of whom we hadn’t met) and introduced ourselves and invited them. All said they would come, but we weren’t sure if that was them just being polite.

We made food and got everything ready… Nobody came for the first hour and a half. Finally, a few came, a few more came, and by the end of the night, all four families that we invited came. All of them had a good time, and it was really good for us to get to know them. It was good practice for us. We are trying to make a point to get to know our neighbors as it really helps to have friends!
